How to Style Cowboy Boots for Your Aesthetic

COWBOY BOOTS FOR EACH AESTHETIC

When most people think of cowboy boots, they may think of the South, lassos, cowboys,  and even Halloween. Fashion might not be the first thing to come to mind, but in 2022 this is one of the top trends to embrace as it can be worn in a variety of different ways.  Before this became a fashion trend, I have to admit that I couldn't imagine wearing them without it being a costume either; but now they’re a staple in my shoe collection.  Whether you're into this trend or not, cowboy boots are here to stay in 2022 and I have examples to show you how to incorporate them into your wardrobe no matter what your aesthetic or style is.

Chic Casual Classic

This is the aesthetic that I am referring to that completely changes the classic “cowboy look”. There’s no lassos or horses here, but chic blazers and shorts are the perfect pairing with neutral colored cowboy boots. When styling this aesthetic, neutral tones like cream or black are key to achieving the chic and classic look.

TRENDY ARTIST

A fun way to think about styling cowboy boots, is when you would typically throw on sneakers you should try wearing boots instead. Another way to incorporate this trend is wearing a bright colored boot with jean shorts or skirts to add a pop of color.

COTTAGE TO THE CORE

When I think of this aesthetic, I imagine someone frolicking through a field with their cowboy boots and setting up for the picture-perfect picnic. Linen dresses, long A-line lightweight skirts, and light floral patterns are the perfect match with cowboy boots. Even if you’re not running through a field of sunflowers, this trend will at least make you feel like you are.
